Move past your past.
Psychotherapy in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
You’re tired of feeling like your tough experiences are playing on repeat in your head.
It’s like you can never get any space from your thoughts.
You find yourself replaying that conversation over and over, rewriting it to how you wish it would have gone. Every possible outcome plays out in your mind, each scenario meticulously crafted to reflect your ideal response and the reactions you hope to receive. As you construct these narratives, you convince yourself that this mental exercise is merely planning for the future, a way to prepare for any eventuality. However, as the hours tick away, it becomes clear that what you’re really doing is allowing anxiety to dictate your present, trapping you in a cycle of “what ifs” that distances you from the reality of now. This loop of second-guessing and rewriting doesn’t just fill your thoughts; it erodes your peace, leaving you anxious and restless instead of empowered.
Sound like you?
Struggling with overthinking and paralyzed by indecision.
Tired of feeling like everyone else’s needs and expectations of you matter more than your own.
Ready to stop spending so much energy worrying about what other people think of you.
Wishing that you knew how to set boundaries and prioritize yourself.
Here’s what we’ll do together
Therapy can help you identify and change thought patterns that are no longer serving you.
How you think impacts how you feel which impacts how you act in any given situation. So many of our thoughts are repetitive, untrue, not helpful and sometimes downright damaging. In order to get you feeling better overall and behaving with confidence in various situations, we have to make some important changes to your thoughts and your self-talk. In therapy, I will give you the tools to notice, address and modify thoughts that cause you anxiety and distress (and teach you some new, positive ones to take their place).
On the other hand, you can have the same thoughts for so long that they have become limiting self-beliefs. Limiting self-beliefs restrict your perspective and shape how you view yourself. Beliefs like "I'm not good enough" can lead to self-doubt, preventing personal and professional growth. You may avoid challenges and stick to routines, reinforcing these beliefs. Recognizing these patterns is crucial to questioning their validity. By challenging these beliefs, you can uncover new possibilities, take risks, and embrace self-discovery.
At the end of the day, I want you to know:
Past experiences don’t have to continue holding you back. You are stronger than you think you are. I can help you tap in to your strengths.
